China is going to be the worlds leader in Wind Year 2020. China will lead the world in Wind Turbines installed by year 2030.
Super-heated wind energy development in China has driven up turbine demand. As of late 2005, the country was home to 1,864 turbines, with a cumulative capacity of nearly 1,270 megawatts (MW), distributed among 61 wind farms in 15 provinces and regions. Last year alone, 592 wind turbines, capable of generating approximately 500 MW in total, were newly installed, reflecting a 254-percent growth in newly installed capacity over 2004. Demand will continue to skyrocket as the government works to meet its ambitious target of 30 gigawatts of cumulative installed turbine capacity by 2020.
The Chinese turbine industry is playing much-needed catch-up. Due to insufficient knowledge and investment and inconsistent government support, domestic turbine manufacturers have been pervasively weak in research and development. A common method for acquiring technology in recent years has been to purchase production licenses from foreign counterparts, even though most of the more accessible technologies are outdated. “This is a dead end. Most of the technology is already 10 to 15 years old,” says Wang Wenqi, a senior expert in the wind industry and the former general manager of Xinjiang Tianfeng, China”s biggest wind energy company. “Turbine technology is being developed so fast. We would never catch up in this way.”

I would love to sit here and type to you about how smart or how good I am at doing DD and research but we ALL KNOW better than that and I have a track record and the internet documents your stupidity one post at a time. History once in a while allows us to blow our horn!!! I am tooting my 67% GAIN today since this will never ever happen again in the history of this Blog or Wind!! But, will China grow its wind power strategy into the future???? Answer is “”"HELL YES”"” and in spades! China is going to blow the top off of green investing for the future! APWR is the ticket and the plan! Ride along or watch, I dont really care which cause APWR has dropped from $30 to $4 in the past two months. Today, in one day, it was UP 67% in one 8 hour trading day. Tomorrow??? My guess is a drop of 10% at the open and then a ZOOM north again as the shorts quiver like the longs were stuck in the headlights being run over by the credit crisis freight train.
PBW, PWND, FAN all good long term renewables all up 17% today!
IF OBAMA WINS the elections, renewable green is going to go GOLD!!! I am betting on Obama winning and renewables going off the charts!! AS Americans, its our national security to elect a president who will watch our national defense by getting us off of OIL! I vote for Obama for Clean , Green Energy for the future!

what percentage of the 47,000 Wind Turbines will APWR receive this coming next five years???
Recent reports have indicated that China may increase its wind power capacity from 6 gigawatts at the end of 2007 to 100 gigawatts by 2020. This type of expansion would require approximately 47,000 2 MW wind turbines over a 12-year timeframe.
From $30 to $4 in two months………from $4 to $7 in ONE DAY!!!
this company is NOT for next months rent money for sure!!!!!

in all my years of Investing, THIS TODAY was the most psychotic investing day of my life……..67% GAINS in one day!
A-Power appears to be the best candidate for a tremendous rebound in this group. The stock’s decline borders on insane. The likely cause of the drop is found in the ownership filings: JLF Asset Management has a 10% position. Purely based on speculation, it seems quite possible they have been selling as this is a huge position for them and must be weighing on performance. Judging from the stock, it is certain that someone has been selling, and hard.
And that selling has created quite an opportunity. While APWR has trended down, business has remained strong. Last week the company announced a major contract and on October 10, management reiterated guidance. Guidance is for earnings of over $2 per share in 2009, making the forward P/E a meager 2.2x. I’m betting this stock hits $20 again sometime in 2009. Ten times earnings for a clean energy company focused on smog filled yet power hungry China seems very reasonable.
APWR is NOT for the faint of heart!
