Pollute Baby Pollute

Dear Mr McCain:

Since you VOTED 20 times against renewable energy, I will cast MY VOTE for Barack Obama. Since you pride yourself in POLLUTION and DRILL BABY POLLUTE, I will cast my vote for Barack Obama. Since you obviously dont “”GET IT”" by picking a clueless Sarah Palin as your running mate, i will vote for Barack Obama. And given the polls and the 6 point lead of Obama, I am not alone. Maybe AFTER the election is over and after the finger pointing is done, somebody will POINT you in the direction of this Wind Energy Blog. I am a LIFE LONG Republican voting Democrat and my grand dad would roll over in his grave if he saw how you and Bush want to Pollute your way to the Hall of Shame!

  • With Barack Obama going to win the Presidential vote, renewable energy is going to soar in the next few years and wind is going to lead the race. ETF’s into Wind are the balanced , safest way to invest into wind and PWND, PBW, and FAN are my bets for Wind and Obama. Even you polluters in the republican group can profit and benefit by investing in WIND.

  • China Wind Growth 122 GW by 2020

how will China power its needs and demands for Power??????
In a recent trip to China, I experienced the “China Speed” in developing their new mega cities all over the country. The magnitude is beyond my imagination. Anything in this country is “big”. 1.3B population, yes it is a “B”, and let me tell you this, the population of children under age 10 is the same as the whole population of Canada: 40 Million. The China’s biggest city Shanghai is twice the size of New York. The high speed train of Shanghai is two times faster than US, that is half the speed of an airplane.

Then you will ask, where does China get all the energy it needs? The answer is simple, China does not have enough energy to sustain such a magnitude of growth, and it imports crude from every single corner of the earth. And it is planning big for its next generation of energy: Wind power.

According to the Global Wind Energy Council, China’s installed wind energy capacity could reach 122GW by 2020. China’s exploitable wind resource is estimated around 1000GW. In Inner Mongolia of Northern China, massive wind projects have been deployed over the last couple of years, the estimated capacity has reached over 1GW. In West China, provinces such as Gansu, and Qinghai, are also developing their own wind power projects to meet local energy demand. The central government has chosen wind power as an important alternative energy to combat green house emission and secure energy supply.

The wind energy booming in China has attracted many worldwide wind turbine manufacturers invest in China, such as GE (GE), Gamesa (GCTAF.PK) and Vestas (VWDRY.PK). There are also many domestic manufacturers including A Power Energy Generation (APWR), Nantong CASC, REpower North, Nordex, Hunan Hara XEMC Windpower. Among these companies, only GE, Vestas, and APWR are listed in North America, and recently APWR signed 50 of 2.7MW wind turbine contract, and has total annual production capacity of 1.1GW by 2009.

  • Wind Energy Plays for an Obama Win

When Barack Obama WINS the USA election come Nov. 4th, WIND ENERGY is going to go to the front of the line in investing with renewable energy. Obama has pledged to pump 15 billion a year into renewables and since Wind is 10 to 1 payoff vs solar, WIND is your freind for investing with renewables.

ETF’s in Wind, ie FAN and PWND are the two best safest investments into Wind Energy globally. ETFS holding Wind stocks are balanced and focused on Wind Energy. Vestas, Gamesa, Nordex, Iberdrola, are all around 5% to 8% holdings. FAN and PWND are around 52 week lows with the current economic melting of Wall Street.

A more risky play is APWR which is a Chinese startup in Wind. APWR is on track to be a pure growth stock come 2011. Very risky high reward high beta for wind stocks with almost a dot.com start up mentality backed by the Chinese government and also partnering with Furhlandher and Nordex in becoming partners to hold hands with the Chinese in how to build wind turbines. APWR , high risk, high rewards!

  • Energy Sucking Vampires in the Home

all it takes is a little conservation of electricity to add up to immense POWER SAVINGS every month on your own electric bill. Think about how many electric drills are sucking energy plugged into the garage and not used in last 2 months. Think about the ”’empty”’ extra refrigerator with 2 beers in the garage for the good ole boys drinking spot. Turning off some power is the same as building extra wind power and costing the utilities alot of extra money!

Virtually all of your electronics are sucking up energy even if they’re turned off or not being used. Some of the biggest culprits include your TV, computer, and printer. Even your electric toothbrush is drawing energy when it’s plugged in and sitting idle.

On its own, the “vampire power” used by one device might seem miniscule, but collectively it amounts to more than $4 billion a year of wasted energy here in the United States. What’s more, the Department of Energy says that about 75 percent of the electricity used to power home electronics is consumed while the products are turned off.

The easiest (and most obvious) thing you can do is get up right now and unplug whatever you’re not using. Candidates include:

Your hand-held vacuum in its charging station
    Power drills
    Automatic coffee makers
The VCR you haven’t used in nearly a decade
The TV that’s collecting dust in the guest room
The empty refrigerator in the garage
