Vestas Wind Systems A/S announced that it will provide 100 megawatts of wind turbines to China. The contract with China is the second in two days. The company said it has received another two orders with a total capacity of 100 megawatts to be delivered to two wind power projects in China. Delivery of the turbines for both projects is planned for the third quarter of 2009. The contract is also the eighth in the last year from China Guangdong Nuclear Wind Power.
Vestas Wind Systems A/S announced that it had received an order for 116 units of its V52-850 kW turbine from China Guangdong Nuclear Wind Power Co. Ltd. The contract covers supply of the machinery, the VestasOnline Business Scada solution, as well as a two-year service and maintenance agreement. Deliveries are planned for the third quarter of 2009. The deal is Vestas’s eighth order from China Guangdong in the last 12 months and has brought up to 500 MW the total capacity of the turbines sold by the Danish firm to the Chinese group.
