Senator Shumer trying to BLOCK the China Wind Farm in Texas but look who wants a Spanish firm to invest into New York ………..its OK for Iberdrola to spend money and finance New York but China ???

In June 2008 he was doing all he could do to get Iberdrola to invest in NY wind projects.

“Upstate New York needs the jobs that clean, green wind power creates and since Iberdrola is ready to put its money where its mouth is – to the tune of $2 billion in wind power investments – the PSC should drop its illogical wind-power divestment demands and broker a deal with the company that would keep customer rates low, provide system reliability and bring much-needed wind power to New York,” said Schumer. “Done right, this deal could make New York a leader in renewable energies and give Upstate New York’s economy a much needed shot in the arm.”

“We have an opportunity here to embark on a new future in wind power, while ensuring that customer’s keep their rates low.” (I guess that’s only true if it’s a Spanish company doing business in NY and not a Chinese company doing business in Texas!)

I am sure Senator Shumer got a phone call from President Obama last night telling Shumer to shut up about this China Wind Farm inside Texas. President Obama flies to China Nov 15th and this wind farm inside Texas supplied by a Chinese Wind Turbine company (APWR) and financed by Chinese banks is critical in the upcoming Chinese negotiations for Obama to get more AMERICAN JOBS for America in green energy.

A little background on China Wind needs and turbine manufacturers……..China has 3 large Wind Turbine companies, Dongfang, Sinovel, and Goldwind. China needs all wind turbine suppliers inside China and then some and this is where AMERICAN JOBS come into play. Right now , China has a 70% PROTECTIONISM placed on their foreign companies (like GE) getting wind turbine revenues preferring to keep 70% Chinese jobs and Chinese components. China cannot even furnish their own country with wind turbines to meet their own bottom clean energy requirements because their DEMAND is so high for Wind Energy. China needs all the help they can get from Vestas, Gamesa, GE, and Siemens to furnish HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of future wind turbines for China (China needs 184,000 large wind turbines to meet bottom number for clean energy 2020) and cannot produce that many thus NEEDING TO OPEN their borders to foreign competitors which supply American jobs for the 2 Trillion prize Obama is shooting for by getting China to DROP their 70% protectionism clause.

Shumer does not understand the implications of going after 2 TRILLION market for the future of American jobs by helping finance part of this China Wind Farm inside Texas. 300 one year construction jobs would be furnished in Texas and rural Texas counties would prosper and provide more growth by spending from the future tax revenues on a 600MW wind farm. 30 full time jobs would be provided by this contract for maintenance on the wind farm. Sure, China would get more jobs in China to build these wind turbines but that is like the mosquito on the elephants butt that Shumer is not seeing the big picture of 2 TRILLION in green energy markets open when we finance this China wind farm by stimulus money. Obama is working on China dropping this 70% protectionism openning up AMERICAN companies to go after China 2 trillion market .

Shumer trying to BLOCK China from this contract is like China telling EVERY AMERICAN company , “”"YOU cannot come into this country and bid work”’! How do you think JEC, Shaw Group , and other large AMERICAN companies would like it if every Chinese politician pulled a Shumer and just told the American companies “”"YOU CANNOT DO BUSINESS IN CHINA”"????

First Solar is building a 250MW Solar Farm inside China, Shaw Group and JEC are building large nuclear units inside China, JEC and SHAW are building large Coal plants and large petrochemical plants inside China…………how would Shumer like if all these AMERICAN companies were thrown out of China because of the ”’Shumer Effect” of openning our mouth for political gains and losing American jobs later on ????????

Obama is flying to China Nov 15th to get the Chinese to drop the 70% protectionism and this Texas Wind Farm being built and financed by a Chinese company is just part of the mosquito on the larger Chinese elephant butt for a 2 trillion prize later. Shumer, SHUT UP!
